Who is “Colorado Dogs Rock”?

Hi, I’m Rock, the human behind Colorado Dogs Rock! Long before I officially stepped into the world of professional dog training, my journey began with staying up too late and rising too early to network dogs and cats that needed foster homes or medical help outside of the hours of my 9-5. It was here, in the trenches of rescue work, that I found my purpose.

I went on to turn that purpose into a career in animal welfare. As a foster coordinator with Rescued Pets Movement, I was fortunate enough to be a part of something incredible—we helped save over 50,000 lives during my time there. The experience was transformative, and while being a part of such a large-scale movement was rewarding, I found myself yearning for the deeper connections that come with working closely with individual animals and their families. This was especially true when I saw the influx of animals being adopted and returned to us in the animal welfare community after COVID restrictions were lifted. It broke my heart, if I’m being honest, but I saw where my path was leading me.

Colorado Dogs Rock was born out of a desire to make a real, personal impact on the lives of both dogs and their humans through training & education. I’m a certified professional dog trainer (knowledge assessed) and certified behavior adjustment training instructor (knowledge assessed). My approach is all about clear communication & force-free methods that build trust and strengthens the bond between you and your pup. Whether you’ve just adopted, need help with behavior modification, or want to embark on new adventures with your dog, I’m here to guide you through it all.

My values include compassion, excellence, inclusivity, and a love for learning & growth. And as a small, independent business, I’m proud to say that every success story here is personal, because I’m with you every step of the way.
